Work is Worship ; ) !!

One year completed in TCS.

Lessons Learnt:
1.Things need time to settle down. You can't wield a wand and bring order in a second.

2.Living alone is not as tough as it is made out to be. Infact, its fun without people bothering you all the time.

3.Ignoring people and their comments is the best way to stay out of trouble. Its better than listening to them and not reacting.

4.You have nothing to bother about if you don't indulge in petty politics.Diplomacy would be your ultimate saviour.

5.Dieting does not have any direct bearing on your weight. In fact, people's comments on your figure more or less reflects their mood rather than your figure.

6.'Think horizontally' , 'Touchbase' , 'Full Ownership' , 'Professional behaviour', 'Increase Visibility' etc. are some of the words you hear ad nauseam without ever understanding their meaning. And presto! You come to know that no one else understands them either. The main point is to utter them every now and then.

7.The client thinks he fools the people. The company thinks it fools the client. The employees think they fool the company.. And everyone prides themselves for their ability to fool others!

8.This would be very important in an eyewash called appraisal. The factors taken into consideration will make your sides split with laughter. The ability to work satisfactorily is only as important as the ability to socialize. Wait before you jump to conclusions. Socializing here means sending mails to people asking them to fill their timesheets, taking new people to show them around the office, dropping an one line mail to people about some training you attended calling it Knowledge Sharing, distributing pamphlets asking people to switch off their monitors etc etc.

8.The year past always seems swift and the year to come always looms large!!!!!

Well written sudha. Wow TCS, thats nostalgic and brings my own set of memories. It was my 1st company and training under Trivandrum backwaters (around) was best phase of my life.

There is a slight mistake. 8 is repeated.

And there are a few words more which no one understands, out of the box, dashboard etc etc...

Blogrolled you.........

Keep writing......
